Scholastic Honors Night will honor high school students who have earned a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. The ceremony and program will take place at the Wayland High School Fine Arts Center.

While attending Wayland Union High School, he was a member of the National Honor Society, debate team, forensics team, and played golf, basketball and baseball. He earned his greatest athletic fame in his senior year when he shared the Class B individual state championship in golf by carding an 18-hole score of 74.
Fifelski is the owner of Hillcrest Mobil in Dorr, Dorr Subway, and Hungry Horse Campground, and he was a Dorr Township official. He has supported the community and school district in many ways.
Merren has served on the Wayland Fire Department for 42 years and worked the chains at the home football games for 25 years. He recently retired as assistant manager for Harding’s Market in Wayland after 48 years.
