The Wayland High School Class of 1966 had its 50th reunion this weekend with a variety of activities, may of them plotted by a committee headed by Colleen Lapham VanderPloeg. After a golf outing, breakfast and a banquet that included 113 attendees, these grads gathered at what is now Pine Street Elementary, which served them in bygone days as the high school. As they roamed the halls they long ago used to get from one class to another, some were saddened to learn that this stately old building may come down soon as the oldest building in the school district.
