Wayland High School faculty member Jeff Knais called it the windiest and coldest graduation ceremony he’s ever been part of Thursday night, but many felt fortunate to have it at all. Commencement was held at the newly renovated football stadium, beginning at 4 p.m. instead of the scheduled 7 p.m. because of the threat of rain. Indeed, the wet stuff arrived shortly afterward. And some remarked they were grateful it happened at all after last year’s debacle with Covid-19.
