The Wayland High School Eco club held a bake sale last week at the high school, raising $155 for recovery efforts in Australia. They donated to WildArk’s Koala Comeback Campaign and adopted a koala through WWF. Funds raised through the #KoalaComeback campaign will go to the ground where critical wildlife and ecosystem recovery efforts are already under way. The money donated to WWF through the koala adoption will support global efforts to protect koalas and their habitats. Wayland’s Eco Club is in its first year at the high school with junior Cassidy Martens as founder and president.
