The Wayland High School forensics team brought home a third place trophy from the Portage Northern Invitational earlier this month. Junior Jamie Murray was awarded the first ever Snell Award, for prestigious decorum and an outstanding performance. She also made it to finals and won sixth place in extemporaneous speaking. Camber Barko and Ashlee Kidder both broke to semi-finals in storytelling.
Andrea Ivers was 16th and Eli Merren 17th in Broadcasting and Brandon Thornburg and Grace McNamara were 17th in Duo Interpretation.
