Former Wayland High School all-state golfer Ali Martus is starting her second season on the Northwood University golf team this fall with a season opener at the Indianapolis Invitational Sept. 11.
Martus helped the Northwood University break a school record for low score earlier last year at the Northwood Invitational. The Timberwolves broke several school records while placing second at their lone home event of the year. Northwood shot team scores of 306-307 to finish with a score of 613, good for second place overall. Martus shot a 77-78=155 and tied for 14th individually overall.
Martus was an Division 2 all-state performer for Wayland and qualified for the state tournament all four years as a Lady Wildcat.
