WHS grad, fiance` seriously injured in traffic crash

Wayland High School graduate Jaime Laisure has been released from a Kalamazoo hospital after she and her fiancé, Paul Miller, also a WHS grad, suffered injuries in a serious traffic crash recently.

Paul’s car was T-boned and he was air lifted. Jaime, suffered a serious concussion with lung and rib bruising. Paul has severe head fracturing and a swelling brain. He is responsive but will have a long road to recovery.

A Go Fund Me Page has been established for Paul and Jaime to help with the challenges they will face. Jaime, besides attending Wayland schools, was a student at Rutgers University and was a member of the United Church of Wayland. She has two sisters and is the daughter of Jerry Laisure and Laura Doxey.

    So so sorry to hear this tragic news!. Sending positive thoughts and prayers to Paul and Jaime. The Laisure and Wilde families were neighbors on E. Superior St in Wayland for many years. Always caring and great friends. I pray for healing for both Jaime and Paul.

    Paul Miller was also a Wayland grad. Same year as Jamie. Paul is Mark Millers son.
