Helen Chappell Richardson, a 1969 graduate of Wayland High School, died of cancer Saturday, Jan. 11, in Summerfield, Fla. She was 69.

She and her husband were longtime Wayland area resident until they retired to Florida and she worked part time at a pro shop at Spruce Creek Golf Club. The Richardsons were married in 1971 and only last week had observed their 49th anniversary.

Besides her husband, survivors include two daughters, Kari and Kimberly, four grandchildren, and brother Donald of Wayland.
