Dorr Elementary Student Council was host for a fund-raising event, “Dollar Wars,” and used the money raised to commission an artist, Logan Vales (an alumni of Wayland Union Schools, Class of 2020), to paint a mural in their library.
Student Council members were able to create different designs and ultimately voted on a concept for Mr. Vales to bring to life
During spring break, Logan Vales dedicated more than 60 hours towards painting this mural. Students were so excited for the reveal when they returned to school.
