WHS grad promoted in anesthesia at Mayo Clinic

Michael Merren, a 1994 graduate of Wayland High School, has been promoted to Anesthesia Critical Care Fellow at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minn.

Merren, a graduate of the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University, also was resident physician in anesthesiology at the for the past three years, was internal medicine intern at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Va., worked at Spectrum Health Medical Group in Grand Rapids, and is a former medical officer for the U.S. Navy.
