WHS graduate, athlete Katie Greenman pursuing PhD in chemistry

Katie Greenman, a 2006 graduate of Wayland High School, is attending Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, pursuing a doctorate in chemistry. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the discipline at Central Michigan University. Greenman is perhaps best known here as the winning pitcher in the state Division 2 softball championship game in June 2006, the Wildcats’ first state title, a feat they repeated last summer.
