The Wayland High School marching band took third place in a band competition Saturday, Oct. 3, at the 24th annual Hastings Marching Invitational. There were 27 bands that performed from West Michigan. Wayland competed against five bands in its division and scored 81.0 points. The group also received an excellence award in percussion.
