The Wayland Wildcat Marching Band competed at the Rockford Marching Band Invitational Saturday, Sept. 21, and earned place in Class B with caption awards in music, visual, percussion and guard. Director is Kelly Tilley Smith. It should be noted that the band members are wearing blue costumes that reflect this year’s theme “Rhapsody in Blue” by George Gershwin.
