Wayland High School competed in the Science Olympiad Region 10 contest Feb. 27 at Western Michigan University and recently received their awards. The 11 students who competed were Lynnsey Hooker, Lexi Walters, Sean McCarty, Hope Reurink, Jarod Geerlings, Anna Kidwell, Toni Lohroff, Samantha Dzierzyc, Kirsten Nelson, Matt Gauthier, and Landon Kohtz. Kidwell and Lohroff took fourth place for Dynamic Planet, Dzierzyc and Nelson fifth in Anatomy and Physiology, and Gauthier and Kohtz fourth for Bridge Building and sixth place for Write it/Do it.
