WHS senior Rory Myers scores 1st career hat trick

Wayland High School senior Rory Myers scored the first hat trick (three goals) in his hockey career Saturday evening in the Team Byron Center home opener. He and several other Wayland students play for Byron Center as part of a cooperative. Myers also is well known as a solid golfer for the Wildcats and was part of the team that qualified for the state tournament last spring. Byron Center honors Rory’s grandfather, WHS grad Bob Meconis with this plaque at the ice arena.
