Wayland High School standout bowler Kyle VanEss captured first place in the Great Lakes Junior Bowling Tournament this weekend in Cheboygan. He bested all other by at least 249 pins with a three-game total of 656. VanEss, a key figured in this winter’s Wildcat team, also rolled a perfect 300 game last month at Spectrum Lanes in Grand Rapids.
