A huge hole now exits where the former Wayland Chevrolet and Cars2Go dealerships existed on West Superior Street, across the street from United Bank. The now empty lot was home for many years to the old Herb Chevrolet dealership that Lester and Bill Herb moved to the site in 1965 after a huge downtown fire destroyed the old business. The Cars2Go building was brought down earlier this month. There has been a lot of speculation about what will fill that business gap, but thus far there has been no official word about any development occurring.
