The Wayland High School boys bowling team finished 12th out of 16 teams Friday at the MHSAA Division 2 state finals in Waterford. The Lady Wildcats concluded the day with a 16th-place finish.
Coach Sherry Miklusicak said, “We started out rocky in the Baker games this morning with games of 142, 186, 121, 168, 158 and 156. Our team scores of 899 and 862 were decent, but not enough to keep up with the top teams.”
The coach acknowledged a great season, including a regional championship, and noted that five seniors will be missed next year.
She also wished good luck to sophomore Louis Harnish, in individual singles finals on Saturday.
