The Wayland junior varsitReverse Wildcat logoy girls’ basketball team defeated Grand Rapids Ottawa Hills 46-33 Thursday to run its season record to to 10-4.

The Wildcats had to bring up two players from the freshman team for this game only because of recent injuries and illnesses.

Wayland grabbed a 14-7 advantage at the end of the opening period and widened the gap to 35-12 at intermission. Jenae Muscheln had 10 points to lead the ‘Cats, Sam Niewkoop and freshman
Chloe Coughlin had 8 each, and Taryn Coughlin and Abby Merice chipped in 7 apiece,
