The Wildcats wasted no time in taking control of this one. They led 20-8 at the end of the first quarter and held TK scoreless for the first five minutes of the second period while taking command 32-8. They were up 42-14 at the half.

Along the way, during the first two minutes of the second stanza, senior point guard Presley Hudson stole a pass, dribbled about three-quarters of the court and laid the ball off the glass into the hoop to pass the 1,000 mark in career point total. The four-year starter, who has been in pundits’ conversation about the Miss Basketball Award for 2015, scored 21 points for the night, which is just about her per-game average.

But Hudson also performed some of her magic tricks in the passing department, coming up with another bushel full of assists. Many of her efforts were topped off by junior forward Hope Dollarhide, who scored 13 points. Junior guard Ali Martus netted 17 points and junior forward Sidney Ritz had eight.

Taylor Cross scored 10 points for TK, which fell to 2-6 overall with the defeat.

The ‘Cats were without the services of junior guard Ali Cutler, who was sidelined with the flu.

The Wildcat girls will try to make it 10 in a row Tuesday evening at 7:30 at Grand Rapids Ottawa Hills.
