Kenowa Hills visited the Wayland boys’ varsity tennis team Wednesday night in an O-K Gold Conference match, with the home team coming up with a 5-3 victory.

“We played tough tennis at all positions and came through with a victory,” said coach Ben Adams.

Theo Oddy and Cam Sieffert for took wins at second and third singles positions. Brayden Tomson, Asher Hendricks, Chesney Hudson, Grant Dunkle, Grady Lettinga and Bradley DeWeerd scored triumphs in the second, third and fourth doubles positions, respectively.

“Kenowa Hills is a young team with a mix of experienced players along with new players, a lot like the Wayland Wildcats.,” Adams explained. “The team played well and got a good match in before hosting our quad with Hastings, Plainwell and Otsego on Saturday.”
