The Wayland varsity boys’ tennis team registered its first dual match victory of the season Wednesday with a 6-0 shutout decision over non-league opponent Hastings.

The Wildcays also have had one tie this season in an invitational.

Winning in straight sets were No. 1 singles Nick Adams, No. 2 singles Dillon Kelly and No. 3 singles Collin Sieffert. No. 1 doubles Noah Oosterhouse and Christian Sieffert and No. 3 Brady Atwell also won in straight sets and No. 2 Dawson Merice and Isaac Russell came through in three sets, 7-5, 4-6 and 10-8.

Kelly thus far this season has the best individual record for the Wildcats at 4-5.
