The Wayland boys’ varsity tennis team competed in the Lake Odessa Lakewood Invitational Saturday.

The first doubles team of Colin and Christian Sieffert took third place in their flight, defeating opponents from Hastings, Ionia and Mt. Pleasant.

Dilon Kelly at second singles and Triston Richards at fourth singles both finished fourth. Kelly bested opponents from Mt. Pleasant and Hastings. Richards bested foes from Greenville and host Lakewood.

Also scoring victories during the day were Nick Adams in singles, Dawson Merice and Noah Oosterhouse and Brady Atwell and Isaac Russell in doubles and Mark Musgrave and Vincent Muscarella in doubles.

Richards has the best winning percentage thus far this season with a 4-2 record. Kelly and Colin Sieffert both have seven victories and Christian Sieffert has six.
