Winter snowstorm makes some local travel hazardous

Travel was somewhat of a challenge Friday, as the second wave of a winter snowstorm visited West Michigan, dropping between two and four inches of the white stuff. Meanwhile, there was a power outage on Reno Drive when a power line was down behind Harding’s, causing several businesses to be closed for a brief period. The photo shown here is courtesy of Kim Miller Powers traveling on the U.S.-131 expressway, and she commented that conditions were not particularly favorable. There also was a report just before noon that there was  about a five- car pil up heading north on 131 just north of the Dorr exit (No. 68).

As much as we enjoy not having to shovel or drive in the stuff, your snow is still beautiful. Be careful driving out there, old friends and neighbors. And build us a snowman!
