Wayland Main Street’s Economic Restructuring Committee (WERC), in cooperation with Grand Valley State University’s Small Business Development Center, will present “Writing a Business Plan,” beginning at 4:45 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, at Vibrant Grains Bakery & Restaurant in downtown Wayland.
The afternoon and evening will include a meet and greet dinner at Vibrant Grains prior to the two-hour workshop.
WERC programs’ primary function is to help existing downtown businesses increase their competiveness and provide them tools for. All area business owners, entrepreneurs and interested community members are invited to attend this workshop.
SBDC Writing a Business Plan is designed for individuals who want to increase their chances for self-employment success. The workshop covers business planning in detail. Specifics of marketing, finance, legal, regulatory issues, operations, information based planning and management are key components. The first steps for creating a business plan draft will be included. Live examples of effective business plans are used as workshop material.
Cost for the dinner and workshop is $10 per person. Seating is limited. Those interested should make sure they purchase a ticket and RSVP for the dinner by Friday, Oct. 23. Tickets will be for sale at the door on the day of the event only if seating is available.
