Yankee Springs Township firefighters Saturday evening cleared the scene of a punctured natural gas line in a residence in Yankee Springs Township.

Consumers Gas personnel arrived on the scene to help check for any levels of natural gas before both cleared the scene.

The Wayland Fire Department also was summoned, but was disregarded by Yankee Springs Command once the gas was shut off.
