The Hopkins High School baseball team came from behind to capture a 4-2 victory Wednesday over Belding in an O-K Silver Conference matchup.

Belding took a 1-0 lead in the first inning and was up 2-0 in the fourth when the Vikings erupted for three runs.

Zach Brechting doubled to drive in one run, Caleb Ryan doubled to bring home another, and there was an error, scoring one run.

James Wubben earned the win on the mound. He threw six and two-thirds innings, allowed two runs, six hits, and struck out four. Alex Steffes recorded the last out to earn the save.

Brechting, Brock Eller, Ryan and Brenden Gossman each had one hit to lead the offensive effort.

The Vikings now are 11-2-1 for the season overall and are 5-1 in the league standings.
