The Hopkins boys’ varsity basketball team improved its overall season record to 5-3 Thursday evening with a 66-53 victory over O-K Silver Conference opponent NorthPointe Christian.

The Lady Vikings, however, lost their encounter on the Mustangs’ floor, 48-29. Sophomore pivot Mady Weber scored 11 points to lead Hopkins,
sophomore Maya Kerber added 10 and senior Olivia Sebright had 7 points.

Hopkins girls now own an overall record of 3-5.

The Viking boys, now 3-2 in O-K Silver Conference action this season after losing their opener against Godwin, next will play at Kelloggsville Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and the girls will follow at 1:30 p.m.
