The Hopkins boys’ varsity basketball team extended its season Tuesday night with a 54-45 triumph over Hastings and earned revenge for a loss to the Saxons earlier this year.

The Vikings improved their season record to 8-7 and they have earned a date Thursday night in the district semifinals against Otsego, the tournament favorite.

Wayland will take on Plainwell in the earlier semifinal contest Thursday and the finals will be held Saturday evening at the Hopkins gym.
