Teunissen sisters help Davenport win season opener

Viking boys, girls rule Silver, Gossman rolls perfect 300

  Both the Hopkins boys’ and girls’ bowling teams won the O-K Silver Conference championships in the league tournament. For boys it went Hopkins, Belding, Kelloggsville Junior ace Brenden Gossman bowled a 300 in the first individuals, 289 in the second, and 201 in the third. It was his second ever perfect 300 game.

Wayland boys slip to 7th in league bowling tourney

 The Wayland boys’ bowling team was fourth after game one, fell to fifth after game two, and finished seventh out of 10 teams Saturday at the O-K Gold/Green Conference Tournament. Martin girls ‘heartless’ 2nd half leads to loss to Gobles

by Austin Marsman  The Lady Clippers lost by 18 points, 44-26, to SAC girls’ basketball ruler Gobles Friday.  Martin coach Doug MacVean wasn’t pleased with what he saw, saying there was “no heart from Martin in the second half.” Martin hoopsters Jaclyn Hildebrand and Faith Guritz both totaled 7 points, while Bri Warner had 6.
