Celebration of Life will be Jan. 25 for Charles George

Former Wayland State Police Trooper Charles George died Wednesday. He was 83. “Charlie” started his career in law enforcement in 1964 as a Michigan State Trooper at the Battle Creek Post and he was transferred to Wayland in 1966. He was transferred in September 1970 to the Enforcement Division of the Secretary of State’s office as an investigator.
