With 21 points in Central Michigan’s 71-61 win Saturday over Eastern Michigan, Presley Hudson (2,023) surpassed Crystal Bradford (2,006) to become CMU’s all-time career scoring leader. Sister of ‘H’ Helmey dies in Grand Rapids at age 102

Margaret “Maggie” Bott, sister of the late Helen Jane Helmey, died at age 102 in Grand Rapids Friday, Jan. 18. Mrs. Bott often spent Saturdays working in the office at the Wayland Globe. Maggie was a former president of the Ladies Literary Club, a Civic Theater member and longtime contributor of the Grand Rapids Symphony.
