The Wayland boys’ varsity golf team Wednesday qualified for the Division 2 regional tournament Wednesday, June 1, at Saugatuck. The Wildcats, competing against a dozen other teams in the district tournament at Diamond Springs, the home of Hamilton’s Hawkeyes, finished fourth to earn the trip to regionals, the first under coach Chris Drew. Rory Meyers was the district individual medalist with an 18-hole score of 71, one under par.
