Softball certainly is a family affair for the Ritz/Merchant clan, originally from Wayland. Assistant coach Jessica Merchant help guide Stanford to its third-ever appearance at the College World Series set for next week in Oklahoma City. The Cardinal defeated Duke Saturday to advance. Joining Jessica for the tournament and celebrations in Durham, N.C. were fellow Wayland High School graduates Nicki Cardosa, Brittini Merchant and her mom, Deb Merchant.
