The Hopkins girls’ basketball season came to an end Monday evening in the Division 2 district quarterfinals with a tough 34-31 loss to Plainwell.

The two teams went back and forth throughout the contest, with the Trojans pulling ahead at the end.

Hopkins ended the season with an overall record of 9-14. The Lady Vikings lost their first five games, but then righted the ship to play .500 ball the rest of the way.

Plainwell will take an 10-12 record into Wednesday night’s semifinals at Otsego.
