Hopkins’ Jaeden Harshberger in the high jump

The annual Aquinas Indoor track invitational was held Tuesday and several local athletes landed in the top three in their events.

Wayland junior Kennedy Jasinski was tied for the runner-up slot in the pole vault, clearing 10-6. Teammate Evie Mathis did not compete in the event, but it was reported she should be ready to go after spring break in outdoor competition.

Wildcat junior Adam Huff, fresh from a terrific performance in the discus over the winter, took third place in the shot put with a toss of 46-10.

Claiming first place was Austin Graham in the 60-meter hurdles with a time 8.4 seconds.

Hopkins senior Landen Klinge tied for second in pole vault at 13-0.

Wildcat senior Kaharrie Pureifoy took the runner-up slot in the long jump at 21-1.

The Wayland SMR relay quartet of Elliot Antel, Taylor Wolf, Laney Wolf and Megan Brogger captured third in 3:10.98.

Senior Jaeden Harshberger of Hopkins was second in the high jump at 5-0 and senior Sierra Emaus took third in the long jump.

Boys’ top 10 finishes

Wayland senior Austin Graham, first in the 60-meter hurdles, 8.4 seconds; Hopkins sophomore Clayton Kerber, ninth in 9.55 seconds. 

Wayland junior Dylan Pallett, ninth in the 1600-meter run, 4:51.41; Hopkins sophomore Jack Estelle 10th, 4:53.46.

Wayland 800-meter relay, Geno Wierckz, Breslin Vandenbos, Adam Huff and Kaharrie Pureifoy, seventh in 1:39.25.

Wayland 1600-meter relay, Breslin Vandenbos, Jake Reeder, Dergaso Larsen and Maurgan Howard, ninth in 3:44.59.

Wayland 3200-meter relay, Dylan Pallett, Zachary Keene, Breslin Vandenbos and Maurgan Howard, sixth in 8:46.53.

Wayland, SMR Relays Jake Reeder, Hudson Biondo, Henry Maass and Chance Lenhart, fifth in 2:44.46; Hopkins, Isaiah Robinson, Brayden Harnish, Gage Martin and Jacob Holder, 10th in 2:46.43.

Hopkins sophomore Riley Harnish, 10th in 60-meter dash, 8.19 seconds.

Wayland senior Ava Makowski, 10th in 800-meter run, 2:45.04.

Hopkins junior Kambria Moored, sixth in 60-meter hurdles, 10.21.

Hopkins 1600-meter relay, Kambria Moored, Sierra Emaus, Ellarie Baugh and Riley Homrich, fifth in 1:54.92.

Hopkins 3200-meter relay, Lillian Dewey, Kaylee Katje, Myah Duimstra and Katie Claypool, 10th in 12:19.32.
