The Wayland varsity girls’ golf team finished fourth Monday among nine schools at the Zeeland East Invitational at the West Ottawa Golf Course.
Wildcat senior ace Ali Martus continued her torrid pace on the links, finishing under 80 for 18 holes for the fourth consecutive outing. She carded a 79 to lead her team. She has turned in scores of 76 twice and 77 in her other three matches this season thus far.
Alexis Kirschbaum checked in with a 93, Hunter Fenton with a 103, and Lauren Drew 119.
St. Joseph won the invitational with a team score of 329. Holland Christian had a 378, West Ottawa 393 and Wayland 394.
The Lady Wildcats will open their O-K Gold Conference series of jamborees Thursday with a league event at the Quail Ridge Golf Course.
