Wayland High School graduate and Davenport University sophomore Avery Hudson has earned a first team berth on the All-GLIAC (Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) team. Hudson had a breakout second year with Davenport, leading the Panthers in three-point percentage (41.5%), free throw percentage (88.6%), defensive rebounds (126), assists (142) and steals (58). His 73 made threes are the third most in the entire conference. Hudson is on a fast track to being among the greatest scorers in Davenport history, sitting at 618 career points as a sophomore. He is the son of Wayland varsity basketball head coach Mike Hudson and a 2017 WHS graduate.
