The Michigan high school boys’ district basketball tournament will get under way Monday, Feb. 26.
The Division 2 tourney at Hastings will include both Hopkins and Wayland. Martin, meanwhile, will be at Gobles for Division 4.
Hopkins will play at 7 p.m. Monday against host Hastings. The Vikings will take a 6-14 overall record into the contest. The host Saxons currently are 7-12.
Wayland (3-17) will take on No. 2 seed Hamilton (8-12) at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28 in the semifinals. The other contest will pit No. 1 seed Holland Christian (12-8) against the winner of the Hastings-Hopkins ballgame.
The finals will be on Friday, March 1.
Martin (1-18) will take on host Gobles (7-13) at 5:30 p.m. Monday. If the Clippers prevail, they’ll take on Kalamazoo Heritage (9-10) in the semifinals Wednesday at 5:30. Kalamazoo Phoenix (4-13) will play Covert (4-10) at 7 p.m. Monday and the winner will meet Lawrence (8-12) in the semifinals Wednesday at 7 p.m.
