The Wayland High School girls’ cross-country team checked in at 30th place in the Portage Invitational Saturday.
The Lady Wildcats had a team score of 672. Fellow O-K Gold Conference member East Grand Rapids won the 47-team race with 131 points.
The Wayland boys’ team finished 44th in the 49-team competition. Fremont won it with a team score of 86.
For the Lady Wildcays Senior Emily Gray was 72nd in 20:30, freshman Rylee Cronkright, 134th in 21:10, junior Kaitlyn Paul 152nd in 21:20, sophomore Zoe Antel 153rd in 21:20, and senior Emily Isenhoff 166th in 21:29.
For the boys, senior Jonathan Zuiderveen finished 87th in 17:22, freshman Mitchell Hooker 162nd in 17:59, junior Ethan Killips 288th in 19:15, sophomore Jarod Geerligs 318th in 20:22 and freshman Garret Kloska 319th in 20:23.
