The Martin girls’ varsity cross-country teams finished third Saturday among the Division 4 squads at the Otsego Invitational.

The Lady Clippers were led by senior Mercedes Morin’s 22:38.9 to medal in 12^th place. Sophomore Ellie Young finished right behind her to medal as well, at 23:06.7.

Rounding out the Martin runners were senior Zoie Tuinstra (24:05.2), junior Samantha Stone (24:21.4) and freshman Elly Blackburn (27:39.1).

For the boys, senior Eli Dykstra received the lone medal for the Clippers individually at 18:43.6, good for 12^th place. Freshman Alex Morin crossed with a personal best 19:16.3 in 15^th, followed by junior James Blackburn at 19:42.6 for 19^th place.

The Clipper runners are off until Tuesday, Oct. 12, for the Wayland Invitational.
