Clipper girls lose season opener despite Hildebrand’s double-double

The Martin girls’ basketball team opened its season with a 41-31 loss to Schoolcraft Tuesday evening.

The Clippers played their guests evenly throughout the second, third and fourth quarters, but a 13-4 run by the Eagles in the first eight minutes made all the difference.

Senior Jazmine Hildebrand, beginning her fourth year on the Martin varsity, scored 16 points, gathered 12 rebounds and came up with a couple of steals.
