Martin went full steam ahead on the gridiron Friday against Gobles, inflicting a 60-0 bruiser on the Tigers.
The Clippers held a commanding lead the entire game leading 24 to 0 after one quarter, and 48 to 0 at the half.
The verdict puts the Clippers on course for a possible playoff berth, needing just two more wins. Galesburg Augusta will host Martin next week for the Rams’ homecoming.

Martin will qualify with a fifth win as the small number of D teams (23) makes it a certainty that they will be taken as one of the 5-4 teams that fill out the tournament.
At the moment it appears that about 40 teams will be needed to round out the 256 team field as only 216 teams are likely to get six wins or better. Each class (A, B, C, D) get an equal split of the 5-4 teams. With the shrinking roster of class D teams — due in large part to 8-man football growing to 62 teams — it has been unable to fill its quota so five wins will qualify any D team.
