The Martin softball team swept Lawrence Thursday, winning game one 7 to 2 and the second game 12 to 6. 

It was a big offensive night as senior pitcher Sophia Shettler led game one, with a modest eight strikeouts and only allowing one earned run. Lawrence’s Rice had two strikeouts and gave up 5 runs. The Lady Clippers brought in two runs during the first inning, and would bring home three more before Lawrence even had one.

Up and coming Sophomore Kiaya Warner took the second game with 11 strikeouts and four earned runs. Norris led the effort for the Blue Devils, striking out nine and allowing five runs.

With positive morale and a 8-6 record, the Clippers will head to play Kalamazoo Christian Monday and FennvilleThursday.
