Bowling practices start Monday afternoon at Rock ‘N Bowl for Wayland High School.

The O-K Gold Conference has announced there will be no spectators, including parents, at any winter sports contests, except perhaps basketball on a limited basis.

Wayland girls’ and boys’ bowling coaches Eric Bottrall and Sherry Miklusicak have indicated they plan to liv e stream their matches because many bowling alleys are not allowing spectators. Bowling alleys, such as the Rock ‘N Bowl, have very limited capacity and if they exceed those limits, they could be shut down again.
The Wildcat matches will live streamed on Facebook pages “Wayland Varsity Boys” and “Wayland Union Girl’s Varsity Bowling.”
Coach Miklusicak posted on Facebook, “I know this is difficult. Please remember we are just messengers and want to be able to have our bowling season, even if shortened a little.”
The Wildcat girls are defending conference champions and eager to repeat.
