Presley CMU

Presley Hudson, widely regarded as the best Wayland girls’ basketball player ever, will join her Central Michigan University teammates to play at Western Michigan University at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27.

Hudson, daughter of Wayland High School head boys’ varsity basketball coach, is leading the Chippewas in scoring at 15.3 points per game this season, though she’s only a freshman at CMU. The Chippewas are now 13-7 overall for the season and in second place in the Mid-American Conference, despite being one of the youngest teams.

Hudson scored more than 1,000 points in her four years on the varsity for Wayland and was runner-up in the balloting for Miss Basketball in Michigan last winter.
