Wayland High School seniors Leigha Morse (left) and Taryn Coughlin were announced as the winners of the Senior Athlete Award and Multer Award, respectively, Tuesday night at the Wayland High School Seniors’ Farewell Assembly. The Multer Award, the girls’ version of the Japinga Award, is given in honor of longtime teacher and coach Harry Multer, who died in 1972. Coughlin was a member of the Lady Wildcats’ volleyball, basketball and softball teams. Morse was catcher for the softball team and a key member of the volleyball team.
