All but three out of a total of 14 Martin High School wrestlers will advance to regionals next Saturdays a result of their performances in the district tournament at Schoolcraft.

Earning first-place medals as district champions were Logan Gilbert (106 lbs.) with a major decision over Kolton Burns (Decatur) 11-0, and Haylen Buell (132) won by fall over Angel Guzman-Valle (Eau Claire) at 1:12.
Runners-up were 120, Cole Reitz, lost to Finn Carlin (Gobles) by fall at 3:51; 126, Jayce Ritchie, lost by decision to Kaiden Rieth (Niles Brandywine) 6-2, and 144, Jack Bagwell, lost by decision to Trenton Mansfield (Gobles) 5-1.
Third-place grapplers were 165, Malcolm Smith won by fall over Aidan Fisher (Eau Claire) at 4:07, and 215, Sam Bleeker won by injury default over Ismael Pena (Decatur).
Finishing fourth were 113, Kristian Heighton, lost to Garrett Randle (Schoolcraft) by fall at 1:53, 126; Logan Curry, lost to Victor Ruimveld (Lawton) by fall at 4:39; 144, Seth Toris, lost by Fernando Munoz (Bangor) by fall at 2:12; 285, Max Bleeker, lost by decision to Tanner Shugars (Decatur) 6-4.
