Former WHS track star 2nd in hurdles at GLIAC meet

Wayland High School graduate Corrina Courser, a sophomore at Grand Valley State University, finished second by just two-tenths of a second Friday in the 100-meter high hurdles competition at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference meet. Her time was 14.46 seconds. She ran the hurdles in just 13.91 seconds in the preliminary round Thursday. She still has hopes of competing in the NCAA Division 2 national championships May 24-26 at Grand Valley.
