The Martin girls’ basketball team lost its second game of the season Friday night at Marcellus, 49-42.
The Clippers battled back from an early deficit to creep to within four points, 34-30, at the close of the third quarter, but the home team was able to pull away in the final eight minutes.
The Wildcats were blessed with a 7-for-10 throw shooting performance in the fourth period by junior Morgan Hartline. She led Marcellus with 13 points, but Martin freshman Faith Guritz took individual game scoring honors by dropping in 20 points. Guritz is one of seven freshmen on the Martin varsity roster.
